India is a democracy and the people of India have the rights to participate in the elections whether national or local. However, in order to be a part of the largest democracy of the world, some criteria have to be met. A person is provided with a Voter ID card for the specific constituency with the unique number, region and part code. The person has to be an Indian by birth and should be of minimum 18 years of age to obtain the card. The procedure of issuing the Voter ID cards to the eligible person is controlled by the Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan in Rajasthan under the Election Commission of India. The previous process of issuing voter cards during local or national elections has been changed now. The person who has met the eligibility criteria must visit the website ceorajasthan.nic.in to login and get the e-registration done. The account should be based on valid credentials.
Once the registration is completed and the account has been activated, the applicant must fill the Form No 6 for the fresh application. The application has the information regarding the basic details with the name, address and others. It is mandatory to provide the correct information as per the documents. Any variance of the detail may lead to the rejection of the application.
The details that have been submitted should be supported by the documents. Proof of Birth, Proof of Identity and the Proof of Citizenship are the major documents that are required for the Voter ID card. The Aadhar Card has become proof of everything for the citizens now. However, there are other documents that are acceptable as well for the Voter ID card application. All the list of the supported documents are available in the website.
The application must be submitted and a reference number would be generated for the same. The acknowledgment number can be used to check the status of the application online on the same website.
It takes around one month of time to complete the procedure of completing the Voter ID card at the Election Commission Office and it is sent to the applicant through post to the registered number.
The applicant has to visit the regional electoral office located in various parts of the Rajasthan.
The applicant would be handed over the Form No 6 from the counter and it should be filled with the proper details.
The documents along with the Form 6 filled, should be submitted at the counter for the verification.
The applicant gets the acknowledgement number after the completion of the process. The number can be used to check the status online.
After around one month, the Voter ID card is received at the registered address via post.
